Xbox Live, Microsoft's online digital service that serves millions of gamers worldwide, is down.
Some of you may remember that Xbox Live was taken down on Christmas Day. Ultimately a group known as Lizard Squad claimed responsibility for the attack, admitting they assaulted the service along with PlayStation Network. A Finnish member of the group was later questioned, and the arrest of another member was made in the UK by British police in December.
Microsoft has posted about the incident on Support.Xbox, stating that they are aware of the problems and they are currently trying to find a fix:
“We’re aware of the issue and working on getting it fixed ASAP! Thanks for your patience while we get things back to normal. We’ll post another update as soon as we have more information.”
They did not go into detail about what is causing the outage this time around. Stay tuned to Gameranx for updates as we receive them.
