Final Fantasy 14: Heavensward’s opening movie has been revealed, along with details on the different retail editions.
The game moves to Ishgard, with the Dragonsong War against Dravania taking over as the prevailing narrative. In particular, expect to hear a lot about the fight between Thordan and his Knights Twelve and the Wyrmking.
You will be introduced to the Holy See of Ishgard, and get to enjoy new areas, dungeons, raids, gear ,recipes, airships,primals jobs, and a new race. Examples of new additings are the Dark Knight class, flying mounts and varieties of these mounts, and single rider and multi rider versions of the airships.
There are two new beast tribes, the Vanu Vanu and the Gnath. The Vanu Vanu’s primal is called the Bismarck. The Gnath gets a primal called Ravana, a bug that wields a laser sword.
Final Fantasy 14: Heavensward will be released on Windows, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 on June 23. The standard edition on retail and digital downloads will only be $ 39.99, and because of the way the game is designed, you must own and have finished the story elements of Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn.
The retail collector’s edition will sell for $ 129.99, and comes with a dragon mount figure, an art book, a Blu-Ray of all the Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn trailers, and five in game items, all in a special Dragonsong War box. You can opt to get a collector’s edition digital download version, lacking the physical swag, for $ 59.99 as well.
Finally, you can get a bundle of both Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn and Final Fantasy 14: Heavensward for $ 59.99. Of course, the collector’s retail edition will pair up well with the collector’s edition for Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn if you bought that.
