Remedy Games' Quantum Break, the third-person shooter with live-action elements exclusively for the Xbox One has been delayed into 2016, both the developer and its publisher Microsoft have announced.
The game's creative director Sam Lake says that the extra time will allow Remedy to add an extra layer of polish to the game.
“We are very proud to be part of the amazing line-up Xbox One,” said Lake in an official blog post. “We thank our fans for their patience, and we want them to know that the team takes this opportunity to polish and refine the game to create an entertainment experience out of the ordinary. ”
The delay doesn't change Microsoft's plans to release Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fable Legends and Forza Motorsport 6 this fall, however, so Xbox One gamers will still have plenty to play by the end of the year.
Quantum Break was originally slated for a 2014 release.
