The new World of Warcraft token service will allow gamers to exchange in-game gold for subscription time and vice versa. In the next few weeks, the service will become available for those in realms servicing America, Oceania and Latin America. Other regions will have to wait a bit longer.
The Token itself will cost $20 or the equivalent in local currency. Each region will have its own Token Exchange. This will be available via a new 'Game Time' tab in the WoW Auction House. By purchasing a WoW token from the Auction House, players will have the opportunity to redeem the item for 30 days of game time.
The initial gold value of the token will be based on each region's in-game economies. This will allow players who don't have a ton of gold the opportunity snag a couple of the tokens. There will be more information as the launch of WoW Token gets closer.
The service is set to debut after the launch of Patch 6.1.2.
