Paradox Interactive has announced that it will be taking part in the TEKLA festival in Stockholm, Sweden in April – which is aimed at encouraging girls aged 11-18 to explore their interests in technology.
Alongside Paradox, Swedish pop star Robyn, the Royal Institute of Technology, Google, Spotify, and Valtech will all be taking part in the one day event.
Through workshops and lectures, Paradox aims to offer insight into what technology has to offer and help address the stereotypes which result in many male dominated fields within the tech sphere.
Among the activities available to try will be game development, music production, 3D printing, robot programming, and digital visualization.
Discussing why Paradox decided to get involved, COO Susana Meza Graham said: "Having a more diverse landscape in tech and science is something that matters to many of us who work in the industry and certainly to our employees at Paradox Interactive. We work actively with short term and long term strategies to help facilitate this and TEKLA is a perfect example of an activity that will impact attendees as well as help shape the idea of what tech and science is for generations of girls to come."
Paradox recently released free DLC for Europa Universalis 4 which focused on prominent women throughout history.
TEKLA will take place in central Stockholm on April 18th.
