A private beta for Sony's game streaming service PlayStation Now will begin shortly in the UK, the company has announced.
PlayStation Plus members who register on the official website will "be among the first" to gain access to Now, while others can register to take part in later stages of the beta.
While the service will be free to begin with, renting periods and pricing models will be introduced later in the trial and require payment. When the service launches UK PS4 users will be able to stream PS3 games at a "low rental cost" to their consoles, before Now is expanded to other devices including PS3, PS Vita, and select Bravia TVs.
Sony recommends a 5mbps internet collection and you'll need either a DualShock 3 or DualShock 4 to make use of the service.
The games included in the beta at launch are listed below:
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, The Last of Us, God of War Ascension, Rayman Legends, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package, Just Cause 2, The Walking Dead, Dirt 3
Sony has yet to announce beta plans for the rest of Europe. PlayStation Now is already available in North America, where a monthly $19.99 subscription is available, alongside a $44.99 three month deal.
