A Batman fan seems to have uncovered evidence of a massive abandoned construction site in Batman: Arkham Knight.
To be clear, our source tried to tie together a theory that all of Arkham City was a construction site. This theory was debunked, but it is still worth looking at this to learn more about this construction site, that is in Gotham.
Our source points to the Batman: Arkham Knight prequel comics. Bruce approached Gotham’s city council with a proposal to revive Arkham City, left a huge gaping hole after the events of the last game.
Now, as our source points out, the construction site may have been infiltrated by Scarecrow’s people. Parts of the Gotham is Mine trailer show some of his men dressed up in construction gear, next to Two-Face, and of course, brandishing weapons.
Now, our source thought that the red lit area in the same trailer was Arkham City, but as this fan has pointed out, the E3 demo from 2014 already showed Arkham City, particularly Wonder Tower. The area can be seen, but not accessed, at least from what we’ve seen so far.
So we know that this area isn’t Arkham City. There has also been speculation this will be a later accessible section, where the really hard boss battles will be found.
What do you make of this? Do you think the construction site will be a major plot point? Could it be accessible later, and just not revealed in early previews? Share your thoughts with us in the comments. Batman: Arkham Knight will be released on June 2, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows
