GOG.com Giving Away 30,000 Free Copies of Rise of the Triad Today

March 16, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Game will also be available for 80 per cent off.

GOG.com is offering 30,000 free copies of Apogee Software Rise of the Triad from 16:00 GMT today (12:00 PM EST, 09:00 PDT, 17:00 CET).

In an interview with Gameranx, Interceptor Entertainment's Dave Oshry described the game as follows: "It's an old school PC FPS for old school PC FPS gamers and we're putting it right where they want it, on Steam. However it's also a ridiculously fun, bloody and accessible FPS for newer players. Not only that but it has mod support, mod sharing support, 20+ levels of single player, tons of multiplayer."

If you can't get a copy of the game, Rise of the Triad will be available for 80 per cent off, with additional reductions for Unreal Tournament 2004 and SiN Gold both 70 per cent off, and Aliens versus Predator Classic 2000 available for 50 per cent off.

The giveaway is available on a first come first serve basis.
