Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco have shared four new tracks being added to Project CARS, each one of some historical significance.
The Brno Circuit has hosted the World Sports Car Championship, the A1 Grand Prix, and the Czechoslovakian Motocycle Grand Prix since opening in 1987.
The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps has been host to the Formula One Grand Prix, 24H, and many others. While the tracks have mostly seen layout changes since 1920, one track has stayed the same throughout the years. Eau Rouge is famous for being one of the fastest active tracks in motorsports.
Previously known as the Infineon Raceway, the Sonoma Raceway is made up of a drag strip and hilly road courses. Slightly Mad has perfectly paired it up with the Watkins Glen International, which is already in the game. The NASCAR Sprint Series is hosted between the two raceways, and it can accommodate both two and four wheeled racers alike.
Finally, the Willow Springs International Motorsports Park is the oldest permanent road course in the US. Between its 9 turn tracks and elevation changes, it is one of the most challenging high speed courses in racing, and yet Michael Andetti managed to speed through it for one minute and six seconds.
You can see images of the new tracks below.
Project CARS is projected for release on May. The game will come to Windows, SteamOS, PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U.
