From Software has shared the launch trailer for Bloodborne in Japan.
The trailer continues to be as ominous and obtuse as ever, with the game’s monsters and eerie setting taking center stage. There are apparently several story spoilers in this trailer as well, but they’ve been obscured enough (with warbled speech and choosing unconnected scenes) so that you wouldn’t make sense of it anyway.
Still, there is one scene of interest in this trailer, and it comes up at the very end of it. You can’t tell from looking at our cover photo, but yes, there is a child in that baby carriage, left out there in the middle of the dark.
So, what could the carriage be about? We know that those Yharnam’s uninfected inhabitants hide behind closed doors, except for a few who try to curb the threat as best they can. Knowing this, why they would leave a baby unprotected like this is completely puzzling.
Is this baby a sacrifice to the monsters that plague Yharnam, or the forces that have set these dark events in motion? Is this baby already infected with the plague, and left outside so that he/she would not be contagious? Or is this a trap, and the baby is already one of the monsters you will have to take down?
