Bloodborne’s Darkbeast Paarl Boss Revealed by From Software

February 27, 2015 by Stephen Daly

The boss has never been seen before in ‘this world or the next’.

From Software has revealed a new Bloodborne boss, the Darkbeast Paarl, in a new video with IGN.

Developer Yasuhiro Katao begins by commenting, "I'm sure you're looking forward to what kind of macabre bosses you will encounter in the game. Here, we will introduce you to a new boss never seen before anywhere in this world or the next."

The video then show the player character enter a large chamber to confront the Darkbeast Paarl, a skeletal monster with smoke and lightning rippling through its body. You can see how the fight goes in the video above.

Both the game's level design and difficulty have been inspired by Demon's Souls, rather than the more recent Dark Souls games.

Bloodborne is set for release on March 24th in North America, March 25th in Europe, and March 27th in Ireland and the UK.
