Firaxis has announced that Sid Meier's Starships will be released on PC, Mac, and iPad on March 12th.
Starships sees players lead a fleet of ships through space and will have some, yet to be detailed, connection to Civilization: Beyond Earth.
Meier has said he was inspired to make the game when he wondered how, after reaching distant colonies, people could return to Earth. Answering a distress call from across the universe, your fleet will spead out, eventually establishing an interplanetary federation.
