Gearbox Software says Borderlands 2 will feature missions which are three times bigger in terms of scope than the game's predecessor.
The game's missions will also be more dynamic than the original Borderlands, developer Gearbox has said. Additionally, fans of the series will be treated to 'twists and turns' when playing said missions; gameplay and goals are ever changing with a more dynamic experience to be developed due to this.
Game designer Paul Hellquist told the latest issue of Gamer Informer:
The story missions in Borderlands 2 are about three times the scope of a single story mission in the first game. And they twist and turn throughout; your gameplay is changing, your goals are changing… it will be a much more dynamic experience compared to last time.
He continued:
Lots of fans and critics gave us the business on the story. When we took a look at what we had done last time, we said, 'we can do way better than that. So story has been, from the very first day, one of the most important things that we wanted to improve in Borderlands 2.
Borderlands 2 is currently scheduled for a release sometime after April 1st, 2012.
