Blizzard has announced that sales of its in-game World of Warcraft pet has raised over $1.9 million in funds for the Red Cross to help with Ebola relief in Africa.
The WoW pet, a space goat called Argi, was available for $10 up until December 31 of last year. 100 percent of the proceeds went to the Red Cross to support their Ebola relief efforts.
"The community embraced this cute little intergalactic nibbler, helping out a great cause in the process," Blizzard said. "Thanks again to everyone who helped make a difference.”
This isn’t the first time that the game developer has pledged support to charity. In the past, Blizzard raised funds for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
