The Kickstarter-backed title Strafe has only nine days left on the tally before the crowdfunding campaign ends, and it’s slightly less than half way to its 185k goal.
As I noted in my first post about the title, Strafe’s pitch video is simply a kickass throwback to the ‘90s, and much like the advertising pitch, the game itself is a modern take on the mid to late-‘90s first person shooter. The first video didn’t do much to showcase the game itself, so that might explain why it hasn’t gotten more traction than it could’ve been getting.
To that end, the game’s developers at Pixel Titans have released a new gameplay video showcasing exactly what the game is about, how it looks, and how it plays.
It’s a bit like the original Quake if it had way more colors, persistent gore, dismemberment, and environmental destruction. All the things I basically wish Quake had.
You can check out the gameplay footage below, which runs for ten minutes, and pledge to Strafe’s Kickstarter here.
