One of the biggest parts of the PC community is its sect of dedicated modders. These guys and gals keep breathing life into games that might have fallen to the wayside by now. For instance, The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind is home to one of the most vibrant modding communities in the gaming world today. They've crafted texture packs and done a lot to make sure the game stays relevant.
It would appear that Dying Light developer Techland wants to follow in those footsteps by offering a host of different game modification tools, which they will be publishing soon, according to a recent post on the game's official forums. Techland has invited the modding community to come and share their ideas in a discussion board on these forums.
Here is what the Dying Light developers had to say:
“Modders were a massive part of our gaming community since Call of Juarez 2 and Dead Island – and we wish to continue that with Dying Light. This invitation is only the first stage of our cooperation with the gaming community.
“After the modding tools are released, we plan to actively support the coolest mods created by players.”
So get ready – the mods are on their way!
