A new rumor is going around that Visceral Games’ Star Wars is actually a third person shooter, with Han Solo in the starring role.
According to a source from within Visceral Games themselves, there are problems with the game’s development, but it does look good right now. It also seems that the Han Solo we get to play is a young man, and not presumably as old as Ford would be now.
The game has some big ambitions behind it, but apparently some developers dropped off the project temporarily to help finish Battlefield Hardline. Knowing this, it seems likely that this game will release after the 7th Star Wars movie and EA DICE’s Star Wars: Battlefront.
Now, EA has gone on record that they are not making direct tie-ins of their games from the newer movies, but of course, that does not mean the games can’t be connected to the films in some way. There is also a rumor that the 2nd Disney Star Wars movie, the one coming after the Star Wars film this year, will have Han Solo front and center. This game may then be a spin-off and / or a prequel of that film.
