Not many MMOs can stand against the time-tested World of Warcraft, but Final Fantasy 14 has survived and thrived. In fact, its currently scheduled to receive another patch, coming in the form of 'Before the Fall – Part 1.' This means that it's technically going to be getting two patches here in the next few months, it would seem. You can see the full patch notes for this update here.
This patch brings a number of changes to the game's architecture, but most important are the additions to the game's main storyline. As I am sure many Final Fantasy 14 players have been waiting for, you'll be able to make some progress through the game's thickening plot.
Some of the smaller changes bring new dungeons and dungeon difficulties to the mix, which come as welcome variety to a game that is now almost five years old. For those of you who like to craft, there's a lot of content being added there as well. There are also some smaller events being added to the game, which you can see for yourself in the highlight video provided below:
