Sega and The Creative Assembly have released a new trailer for Total War: Attila, which you can see above.
The video doesn't show us the franchise's famous battles, but it does a decent job of showing the desperation which swept across Europe during the fifth century as the Roman Empire crumbled.
Lead artist Pawel Wojs has commented that the game is "Fitting. We've had Rome 2, with its glorious celebration of this great empire, now this is a wonderful way to close that chapter, with the dawn of the Dark Ages."
That said, you will be able to play as the Roman Empire and try to save it from the barbarian hordes.
Total War: Attila, launches on February 17th and those who pre-order will unlock The Viking Forefathers Culture Pack, which includes three additional playable factions. Yesterday, Total War: Warhammer leaked thanks to an art book but the game has not yet been officially confirmed.
A new video focusing on Attila's barbarian factions has also been released which you can see below.
