Nintendo has announced that Kirby and the Rainbow Curse has been delayed by one week, and is now releasing on Wii U on February 20th rather than February 13th.
During the company's Direct stream today, Nintendo's Bill Trinen explained how Kirby can discover hidden treasure chests located throughout the game world which unlock various rewards such as in-game figurines and music tracks. The virtual figurines seem to have been crafted by clay and while it's not clear how many there will be, it seems there's going to be plenty of find.
If the player has a Kirby Dedede or Meta Knight amiibo, Kirby will earn a daily power-up in the game. You can see how the amiibos effect The Rainbow Curse in the video above. While these features were explored in a Japanese trailer last month, Trinen has now presented them to the US audience for the first time.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse launches exclusively for Wii U on February 20th and includes four player co-op.
