Bandai Namco has shared the ultimate tease, tweeting about the Nintendo Direct coming up today (within an hour of this writing).

Of course, whenever a 3rd party developer, whether an indie or a major AAA, tweet or tell people to tune into a Direct, it usually means one of their games will be featured.
Thus far, Namco’s output on 3DS has been limited, but they have put their onetime star attraction, Tekken, on both the 3DS and Wii U. The same is true of One Piece Unlimited World Red and the Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures games.
However, I think the game that is fresh in most fans’ minds is Pokken Tournament, the unlikely crossover that Creatures Inc entered into with Namco’s Tekken team. As fans know very well, Pokken was confirmed for arcades, but no Nintendo platforms. It led some to even speculate that it may be the first Pokemon game that would be released on a competitor’s platform, such as the PS4, even though there was no reason to believe so. When asked, Pokemon Company and Namco have both simply said to wait for further news.
Why do you think Namco shared news about the coming Nintendo Direct? What would you like them to announce? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
