Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call Gets Xenogears Music Via DLC

January 8, 2015 by Tony Ponce

Also added to the song shop are tracks from SaGa Frontier and Seiken Densetsu 3.

Yep, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call is still getting regular DLC updates! This week, Square Enix reached deeply into its hat to produce some gems from the past. In particular, we've got the track "Soaring" from a little PS1 game called Xenogears. Remember Xenogears? It only had a single, highly acclaimed entry out before members of its development team broke off to form Monolith Soft, which went on to produce the spiritual successor series Xenosaga and Xenoblade Chronicles.

Dive again into PS1 history with "Last Battle -T260G-"  from SaGa Frontier. Then go back in time a bit further for "Sacrifice Part Three" from Seiken Densetsu 3, the Super Famicom sequel to Secret of Mana that we sadly never saw on our shores. Rounding out the update are "Opening – Bombing Mission" from Final Fantasy VII, "Primal Judgement" from Final Fantasy XIV, and "In Search of the Sword of Mana" from the inaccurately named Final Fantasy Adventure.

Each song costs 99 cents. The next DLC update will arrive on January 22.
