Scott Cawthon has confirmed that work on Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is underway.
This follows the release of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 just last November. Of course, the game is probably in the preliminary stages of development, but for fans of the franchise, this is sure to be welcome news.
A teaser on Scott Games’ website shows the above image, implying not only that the game is coming back, but that it may give the series a film trilogy-style conclusion. That image is labeled fnaf3.jpg, so it’s strongly hinted to be connected to the 3rd game.
But really, there is no mystery here as Scott confirmed with PCGamer that the game is in production. Scott has also stated that he will answer no questions about the game, or even read them, so this is the extent of what we will know for now.
