From the beginning, we knew that Nintendo was planning to release amiibo for every fighter in the latest Smash. (Some figures might not be the easiest to grab hold of, but that's another discussion entirely.) Two waves have already been released with a third set for February, but there are still more to come after that for characters like Bowser Jr., Pac-Man, and Duck Hunt. Speaking of Duck Hunt…
A hacking team (or single hacker) that posts videos on YouTube under the name "Mema Haxx" seems to have successfully spoofed a Duck Hunt amiibo and got Super Smash Bros. for Wii U to recognize it. In the video above, Duck Hunt has been renamed "Duck Hunt Duo" when scanned as an amiibo, which is both odd and more appropriate — perhaps the figure itself will carry the "duo" designation.
Now we play the waiting game. When will the Duck Hunt amiibo arrive? May? In the summer?
