Rise of Mana producer Masaru Oyamada recently spoke with 4Gamer in a feature. Masaru revealed that he's making sure the Mana series stays in Square Enix's field of view going into the series' 25th anniversary.
“With 2016 being Mana‘s 25th, anniversary, I believe it will be a year of making all kinds of preparations for it,”
Assuming Masaru is referring to 2015 when he says the 'year of preparation,' then it's safe to assume that we will be seeing another entry into the Mana series in 2016.
Masaru continued, “We’re working our best so we can offer something to everyone that has been waiting in anticipation.”
Would you be interested in another Mana game? Square Enix has been doing a lot of work to make sure their older fans are still loyal, with HD remakes and tons of other re-releases. Another iteration into the franchise would continue that trend.
