For those of you who aren't aware, Sony and Microsoft both got a huge serving of hacking delight for Christmas. This breach of their servers has lef the services in disarray, though Xbox LIVE has since gotten back on its feet. Sony still scrambles to find answer, as do their legions of loyal users.
While Sony works out a permanent solution to the hacking issue, we may have found a temporary fix for you to work on until they manage to make it happen. Facebook user Chuck Davis provided this step-by-step solution, and while we haven't tested it ourselves, many users are reporting that it works.
Obviously, once Playstation Network comes back online fully, you should change the settings back to their original state. This should only be implemented as a temporary fix, as the settings on your Playstation 4 are optimized to work with updates that Sony may send to your console(s).
