QuakeCon Delivers 35 Minutes of Shakycam Skyrim Gameplay

August 8, 2011 by Josh Wanamaker

Bethesda Softworks shows off some 35 minutes of Skyrim in a relatively uninterrupted straight shot during QuakeCon 2011.

This weekend was QuakeCon, and for some reason Bethsoft decided another convention (of any sort) would be a great opportunity to show off Skyrim! What's rather silly though is that Bethsoft's Pete Hines seemed to actually expect a crowd of a thousand people to honor his request at putting away cameras and cellphones! While I'm sure the first 10 people in the front row went ahead and did just that, did he really think anyone else would? Regardless, the result is crummy shakycam quality video, and the shrieks of the enormous crowd pretty much drown out most of the game's audio, this video does show off some stuff we haven't seen before. That said, it's also pretty much the exact same content we've seen since E3. But hey, 40 minutes!

Pete does mention that this gameplay video will be released in an HD format sooner or later (hopefully sooner), so I guess there's that to look forward to, as well.
