A few notable FPS games are coming out this year still. We have Call of Duty: Vanguard, Battlefield 2042, and, lastly, Halo Infinite. While Halo Infinite might not be available across all platforms, it is a free video game in terms of multiplayer. For the first time, Halo will feature a free component to the video game so those on Xbox consoles and the PC can join together without paying for the full video game experience.
With this competitive game, we know that the developers over at 343 Industries are working to deliver seasonal updates. It’s been noted in the past that these seasonal updates will even add significant notable features to the game. Included is the cooperative campaign mode along with the Forge mode. We’re also bound to see new content added in for multiplayer such as maps, but according to a dataminer, there is a good amount of maps coming out at launch.
Being a free video game experience, there might have been some expectations of limited maps starting. However, that’s not going to be the case. Surasia4 on Twitter alerted followers that there are 23 maps within the game at launch. These are also not flight files but instead maps that are entirely in the game with assets. That’s quite a selection of maps for fans, and we’re bound to see some familiar classics in this collection as well.
Unfortunately, we’re still waiting on official news to come out about when players can expect the next flight. We have only seen one flight so far with this game, and it mainly followed players as they battled against bots. However, while a new flight has yet to be unveiled, we do know when we can pick up a copy of Halo Infinite. Halo Infinite will currently launch on December 8, 2021, for the PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
