Steam Battle Bellows Past Greenlight And Onto Kickstarter

Launching into Kickstarter is a new MMO vehicle based shooter looking for a little help to get past the last leg of development. Introducing Steam Battle.

The game is being developed by Wild Wolf Game Studios, who already have an online (casino) game to their credit.The gimmick for Steam Battle is its steampunk medieval theme. The game goes back even further from Victorian times, to the Middle Ages, and takes the action to wooden vehicles, including tanks, mechs, airships, and helicopters.

Take the fight to stereotypical medieval harbors, as well as desert cities and snowy plains. Like any other respectable F2P MMO, you will be able to upgrade your vehicle of choice, adding iron wheels and sawblade rotors, and in an interesting twist, by having you change the driver. Really, it technically isn’t steampunk, but this is an easy way to immediately explain the premise.

The game will accomodate 20+ players in Conquest, Deathmatch and Captue the base modes, and i will have 15 weapon types, over 5000 unique part, a clan system and PVE WW has been working on the game for the last three years, and the $ 100,000 goal will go towards buying servers, software licenses, localization, and adding new game features, such as machines and maps.

The game is slated for Windows, Mac, and Linux, and apparently there will even be a web version. WW states that there should be no development risks, since they only need the money for servers, online, and localization. In other words, the game is done or good as done, and they just need help getting it out.

Working in WW’s favor is that the game already went through Steam Greenlight, so you may see this game come up in Early access soon.
