The Elite Dangerous Launch Trailer has Landed

December 10, 2014 by Stephen Daly

In space, no one can hear your ship blow up.

Frontier Developments has released a launch trailer for Elite Dangerous, which you can watch above.

The video is soundtracked by Royal Blood’s ‘Out Of The Black’ and comes alongside the announcement that Gamma 2.00 will be released today. In addition, the developer confirmed that there will be no wipe of positions or progress upon the release of Elite: Dangerous 1.0 next week.

Frontier Developments has also revealed that starting credits alloted to players will increase tenfold, and those starting the game or returning to it will receive their increase.

The game sees players compete to become Emperor, and players will be able to influence the narrative through their in-game actions.

Elite: Dangerous launches on December 16th on PC, and you still have the opportunity to buy the game's Mercenary Edition for £35.00 ($50 and €40), which represents a £4.99 pre-order discount compared to the launch day retail price. A Mac version of the game is coming in 2015.
