Activision has confirmed player reports that some Destiny Daily and Weekly strikes will require access to The Dark Below expansion now that the DLC is out in the wild.
In a statement to GameSpot, the publisher commented "Specific activities like nightfall will periodically feature expansion 1 content on the week the newest content is live.
"New public events, updated weapons and gear, new bounties, and of course the steady stream of updates are all available without additional cost to all players."
Since launch, Destiny has allowed players to gain access to extra loot by participating in daily and weekly challenges, however, with the expansion of the game's story in The Dark Below, some of these challenges are directly linked to ownership of the DLC. This means that you must own the expansion if you want to take part.
The Dark Below was released today on all platforms. The DLC adds a new strike, additional story content, a new raid, more multiplayer maps, and exclusive PlayStation content.
