Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, EA, Reveal Digital Sales For The Coming Holidays

November 26, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Prior to the start of the next major Steam sale, check out some of the games you can get on sale for your platform of choice.

On the same day Steam is expected to start their Autumn sale, Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, and EA have each revealed what games they are offering up for sale for the holidays. Note that they may also be offering even more sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but they have some good deals on offer before that.

Sony – Co-op Gaming Sale

Sony has come up with a themed sale, with 30 titles available for sale for as much as 65 % off. If you’re a PlayStation Plus member, that goes up to 80 % off. Titles up for sale include Borderlands 2, TowerFall Ascension, Dark Souls II, EA Sports UFC, and more. These games are up for sale starting today until December 1.

Sony also has another deal going. If you spend more than $ 100 using your SEN (Sony Entertainment Network, formerly PlayStation Network) Waller on the PlayStation Store from today until December 2, you can get $ 15 in in store credit. You should get a redemption code for doing so before December 15, either via email, XMB message on PS3, or system notification on PlayStation 4 and Vita. The code must be redeemed before January 13, 2015.

Nintendo – eShop Cyber Deals

Nintendo is putting up a few of their first-party games up for sale starting tomorrow, for both 3DS and Wii U, in what they’re calling eShop Cyber Deals. The titles on offer include Wario Land 2 to 4, Mario & Luigi Super Star Saga and Mario and Luigi Dream Team, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Metroid 2: Return of Samus and Metroid Fusion, Wii Party U, and The Wonderful 101.

Third parties are getting in to the act as well, with select titles already up on sale, such as Yumi’s Odd Odyssey up for $ 9.99 on 3DS, and Darksiders 2 up for $ 9.99 on Wii U.

Microsoft – Xbox Games Store Deals With Gold

Major Nelson has revealed only a portion of the games they’re putting up on sale for the holidays. Xbox Live Gold users can now buy a select number of games on discount, available until December 1. On the spotlight for Xbox One are Defense Grid 2, Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition, and Forza Motorsport 5, and for Xbox 360, Resident Evil 4, Super Time Force, Prototype 2, Diablo 3, L.A. Noire, and Gears of War 3. There is also a separate listing for Xbox games on sale on retail here.

Electronic Arts – Origin 75 % Off

EA seems to have put a select number of titles available for sale now, for as low as 75 % off. On the spotlight are old and new title alike, including Need for Speed Rivals, SimCity, Titanfall, Dead Space 3, Battlefield 4, Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, The Sims 4, and FIFA 15.
