Minecraft will be going to Las Vegas this November for the first ever Minecraft convention. Called Minecon, the convention will take place at the Mandalay Bay from November 18 and 19 to coincide with the full release of the indie title.
“For me, Minecon is about celebrating the full release of Minecraft,” said Notch. “I’m really looking forward to getting up on stage and pushing the button to upload the final build.”
Speaking to PC Gamer, Minecraft’s creator says that he’ll continue working on the game long after its release, but that it represents a huge milestone for the game, which is finally leaving beta.
The convention will start taking registrations next week. We’ll post the details when they become available.
