A hacker group claims to have leaked a number of logins for users of PSN, Windows Live, and 2K Game Studio.
This time the hacker group refers to themselves as DerpTrolling, and claims to be the same group that pulled DDoS on Blizzard servers last weekend.
DerpTrolling shared what they claimed was a small sample of usernames and passwords for 2,131 PSN users, 1,473 Windows Live users, and 2,000 2K users. DerpTrolling decided to post this information after they were convinced by another party that their prior attack was not take seriously. Ironically, they claim they are leaking other people’s data to convince these companies to adopt more strident security controls.
The group claims they also have logins for several more account systems, including 1.7 million Origin accounts, alluding to possible attacks in the future.
Of course, we recommend you reset your logins if you use these accounts now. PSN account owners can get instructions on how to reset their account passwords here. You can do the same for Windows Live accounts here and 2K accounts here.
