The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will have 16 DLCs but unlike most games, every single one of them will be free for everyone who owns the game.
Developer CD Projekt RED says the first two of the 16 will be available from February 25th,2015. This first pack will consist of the Temerian Armour Set (which includes horse armour) and a Beard and Hairstyle Set for Geralt, the game’s protagonist. Two DLCs will then be released every week and you'll be able to download them for free regardless of whether you've pre-ordered the game or picked it up post-launch.
The two other confirmed DLCs are Alternative Look for Yennefer and Additional Quest: Contract: Missing Miners, while the remaining 12 DLCs will be announced soon.
In a press release, CD Projekt RED remarked, "Cutting to the chase, everyone who buys Wild Hunt will receive 16 specially prepared DLCs absolutely for free, regardless of platform. You don’t have to pre-order, you don’t have to buy any special edition to get them – if you own a copy of Wild Hunt, they’re yours. This is our way of saying thank you for buying our game.”
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set for release on February 24th, 2015 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
