Ubisoft has shared a new story trailer for Far Cry 4, and it’s worth showing the theatres.
It does a good job putting over the game’s premise: Ajay is a man torn between the Golden Path, the revolutionary force his parents were involved in, and Pagan Min, and his iron fisted rule over Kyrat, with the help of the Royal Guard. While the game clearly sets up a confrontation between the two factions, there are hints that you will be directly exposed to the different shades of grey that come up in the story’s complicated characters. Perhaps, it is a reflection of the realities of conflicts in South Asia and the people involved in them, which serves as the game’s inspiration.
The trailer also sneaks in a peek at the upcoming DLC with Hurk. Hurk’s Redemption involves monkeys, rhinos, and a reappropriated harpoon, dubbed the Impaler, and just looks like a rolling good time.
Far Cry 4 will be released on Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 18.
