Some of the cooler titles on the 3DS eShop have been the 3D Classics, which are like Virtual Console re-releases of old favorites except boosted with stereoscopic 3D effects and other new features. Of these 3D Classics, the absolute best came from Sega, which gave players the option to switch between various regional releases of a single title, change audio emulation, activate new modes, or even play with a partner using Download Play.
Sadly, only a handful of Sega 3D Classics have been released in total. That all changes in early 2015 when Sega brings 3D After Burner II, 3D Fantasy Zone, 3D OutRun, 3D Fantasy Zone II, and 3D Thunder Blade for $5.99 each. These will join the ranks of 3D Sonic the Hedgehog, 3D Streets of Rage, 3D Space Harrier, and others already on the platform.
If you have a 3DS and want to see some old Sega favorites with a fresh coat of paint, give these games a play.
