Dragon Age Inquisition's single player campaign usually takes between 20 and 40 hours to complete and there's between 150 and 200 hours of content in the game in all according to producer Cameron Lee in an interview with Polygon.
"We want to give our players a real world to explore — we want to give them a BioWare story," Lee commented. "A really vast, epic BioWare story. That's what we do, and it normally takes 20 to 40 hours anyway to tell the story we want to tell."
Lee admits that while "People could burn through it and just do the main path," the developer "wanted to have a world that's fully immersive and well-defined for you to explore, discover and get involved in. We want you to see you decision have an impact and take shape in the world. We're just making more. More and more and more. And it's all entirely up to the player. It's your world, your game."
Yesterday, BioWare hosted a Twitch stream of the game which showed off some PS4 game gameplay as well as more of the character creation screen, combat, and the Hinterlands area. It was confirmed that Cassandra, Varric, and Solas will be your first three companions in the game and, in a nod to the Lord of the Rings, female dwarves can have beards.
