There’s still plenty of little details that fans are still just finding out about when it comes to the highly anticipated release of Dying Light 2: Stay Human. For one, it was recently discovered that our protagonist Aiden Caldwell will vocally start to grunt like a zombie. Depending on your health gauge you can actively hear Aiden turning into an infected. A good example that’s spreading online can be found in the video embedded above. This is one little detail that gives more of an immersive experience.
Like a typical virus, individuals become contaminated through bodily fluids such as moisture from a cough or a sneeze. Within Dying Light 2: Stay Human, everyone is already contaminated with this deadly virus and there’s no cure. All you can do within the game is keep the virus at bay by basking in the sun. From the sun’s UV hitting the infected, the virus is prevented from spreading further around the body. This also means the longer you’re not in the sun the better chance the virus can spread which is what we can essentially see a bit of from the video embedded above.
Fortunately for players, everyone within the game is equipped with a piece of tech around their wrist called a Biomarker. With this device, you’ll be able to monitor your virus spread and potentially determine just how long you’re able to stay around before you start to need something like the daylight. Of course, those that turn infected will continue to mutate and you’ll come across a few different infected monsters which provide some additional abilities like a Demolisher. If you recall, Demolishers were present in the first installment of Dying Light and they acted more of a tank-type of the enemy.
For now, fans can mark on their calendars for Dying Light 2: Stay Human’s release. If there are no unexpected delays players can expect Dying Light 2: Stay Human to launch into the marketplace on December 7, 2021, for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
