One of the major selling points of the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is that you'll be able to use any old GameCube controller with it. But how will you plug it in if there are no GameCube controller ports? Why, with a special four-port controller adapter, of course! And if you happen to be short on GameCube pads and want to buy everything in one fell swoop, you'll be able to snatch up the above Smash bundle.
As we shared back in June, the controller adapter will run $19.99 on its own while the Smash logo-emblazoned controller will run $29.99. The bundle will include one of each plus the game for just $99.99. Considering that the game alone will retail for $59.99, that's a modest savings of $10.
Something else you ought to notice from the front of the box is the amiibo logo up in the corner. Nintendo's take at near-field communication figurines will be supported by the new Smash first before compatability is added to other titles. There will be a dozen figures as part of the first wave, each priced at $12.99.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U still has a nebulous "winter" release window, but rumor has it that the game will be out November 21. Meanwhile, the 3DS version comes out earlier on October 3.
