Sunset Overdrive Has a Season Pass, Naturally

September 10, 2014 by Stephen Daly

The pass includes the game’s first three add-ons and six character outfits.

Microsoft has announced details of the season pass for Insomniac Games' upcoming shooter Sunset Overdrive on the Xbox Wire today.

The Season Pass will cost $19.99, representing a 20 per cent saving over buying all of the DLC without the pass. For your money you're getting the game's first three add-ons, six character outfits, two amps, and two traps.

It's not clear what the third add-on will be just yet but here's what Microsoft has to say about the other content included with the pass:

"Two campaign Game Add-ons that each deliver new locations to explore, stories to experience, and bosses to battle. Each of these Add-ons also includes new weapons, new Amps, a new Trap, new character outfits as well as new challenges and Chaos Squad objectives. The Weapons Pack Game Add-on, which includes four deadly new weapons to augment your arsenal.

"BONUS – six character outfits, two Amps and two Traps to use as soon as the game is released."

The game sees players cast into a world where a soft drink has ruined most of society and places a firm focus on customisation, allowing you to play as assassins or even wear a kangaroo codpiece.

Sunset Overdrive is set for release exclusively on Xbox One and will be launched on October 28th in North America and October 31st in Europe.
