FIFA 15’s New Trailer Looks at How Goalkeepers Have Changed for the Game

September 5, 2014 by Stephen Daly

The game includes over 50 new save animations for goalkeepers.

EA has released a new trailer for FIFA 15, looking at the game's goalkeepers and how they've evolved compared to previous games in the series.

Nick Channon, FIFA 15's senior producer, comments, "we've built goalkeepers from the ground up. The most mentally challenging position on the pitch is now realistically represented in the game and truly next generation."

The video also features behind-the-scenes footage starring Everton and USA goalkeeper Tim Howard who discusses what it takes to be a top goalie. FIFA 15’s goalkeepers are said to have been completely overhauled over two years and now have over 50 new save animations, improved AI, and more realistic player models.

You can find out more about some of the changes EA Canada has made for the game here.

Strikers will also have new options, and can send keepers the wrong way or even nutmeg them. FIFA 15 launches on September 23rd in North America and September 26th in Europe.
