Ubisoft has kicked together a brand new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Rogue, showcasing much of the gameplay that’s set to grace the upcoming title, which puts players in the role of one of the series’ main antagonists.
Players embark on a journey as a former Assassin-turned-Templar named Shay Patrick Cormac who becomes a turncoat after discovering that the Assassin order had him end innocent lives. His journey takes him to the ends of the earth—the frozen North Atlantic—where he hunts down members of the Assassin order under a new flag of the Templar.
For years, Shay was a faithful follower of The Creed, a loyal member of The Brotherhood, and practitioner of their deadly trade. Then everything changed. Betrayed by the Brotherhood he had served for so long, Shay sets out on a mission to make them all pay. In Assassin’s Creed Rogue, Shay follows his own creed and turns from Assassin to Assassin hunter, with one goal: Eliminate the Brotherhood.
The game is set in the middle of the 18th century during the Seven Years’ War, Assassin’s Creed Rogue gives players new locations across North America to explore, including the frozen North Atlantic, the Appalachian River Valley and New York.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue comes out on November 11 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. There are no current plans to bring the game to the PC or to new-gen platforms.
