Sony made several announcements for its press conference preceding Tokyo Game Show just a few hours ago. These announcements are all for Japan only.
Bloodborne will be released February 5, 2015. From Software is also offering a special edition bundle with an art book and soundtrack.
Sony revealed one new game, Dragon Quest Heroes, coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Like Hyrule Warriors, this is a hack and slash game combining elements from the Dynasty Warriors series and Dragon Quest series, and to be developed by Omega Force. This marks the first time a Dragon Quest title of any kind has been published on PlayStation since 2005.
Sony confirmed Persona 5 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 will be released in 2015. Also coming to PlayStation 4 next year are Resident Evil: Biohazard Revelations 2 and a new Everybody’s Golf, known in the West as Hot Shots Golf.
These titles were also shown in the conference:
· Far Cry 4 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4
· Luminous Arc Infinity for PlayStation Vita
· Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4
· Phantasy Star Nova for PlayStation Vita
· The Crew for PlayStation 4
· The Witcher 3 for PlayStation 4
Sony continues to shy away from talking about PlayStation Vita, but they did reveal that the platform will have 100 new games before 2014 ends.
Of course, the big glaring omission remains the absence of any new details regarding The Last Guardian. In spite of that, Sony has momentum coming into TGS thanks to the solid lineup coming next year for the PlayStation 4, as well as the limited resurgence of the PlayStation Vita.
