Respawn Entertainment has revealed the new features and changes coming to Titanfall with game update six. Among them is a new game mode, Pilot Skirmish.
As the title implies, Pilot Skirmish is all about the pilots. It is pure eight versus eight combat, with no Titans or AI. Pilot Skirmish will not be available in the Variety Pack playlist, due to the difference in player sizes in different game modes.
Marked For Death has now been designated as a separate and permanent game mode. Originally intended to rotate with other modes, it ultimately proved popular. There will be a Marked For Death playlist, and several unlockable Marked For Death loadouts.
Respawn is adding protanopia, deuteranopia, and tritanopia display options for colorblind players.
Burn Cards will now be available in Black Market Daily Deals. Individual cards will be in limited supply and constant rotation. There will also be a new Burn Card Auto Fill option. Activate it, and you will automatically get Burn Cards to fill out your slots.
There is a new Burn Card as well. Roll the Dice will allow you to tap into your whole deck in the middle of a match. This card will be very rare.
Latecomers no longer receive penalties for joining in late. If you join in halfway and your team wins, you get credited. If your team loses, you won’t get that loss. You will get a reminder that leaving in the middle of a game is an automatic loss to your record.
Among the many fixes, the most noteworthy involves matchmaking improvements. Searching for matches has been sped up and team balance has been improved. It should be less likely for you to enter lopsided matches (such as 3 versus 6). It should be more likely for you to enter full games.
