FIFA Ultimate Team has over 12 million players making it the most popular gameplay mode in EA's FIFA series but rather than resting on their laurels, EA Canada has added a host of new features for Ultimate Team in FIFA 15.
New additions for Ultimate Team include Friendly Seasons, Loan Players, and Concept Squads as detailed by FIFAPlay.
Concept Squads is a useful new squad-planning feature which allows players to plan future squads using the entire Ultimate Team player roster. You can plan your next Transfer Market buys, find replacements for players, and try out different combinations.
Speaking to God is a Geek, Ultimate Team producer Marcel Khun commented:
“Every year I try to build an Austrian Gold team, but there’s not enough players in the game. But this year my pain will be much shorter, because the new Concept Squad feature allows me to look beforehand.
“You can build a squad from the full database within FUT, replace a specific player within your team, replace a whole midfield, or build a whole dream squad with all the best players, just to see how that would work out in terms of chemistry and team overall rating. But where it really gets cool is when you combine it with EA Sports Football Club, because you can share those concept squads within EA Sports FC so all your friends can see, and either like or dislike, or comment on them. They can also copy that squad you have built and put it into their FUT and modify, then re-share with you.”
Friendly Seasons mode lets you challenge your friends to a 1 v 1 version of the popular Seasons format and also track your stats while you can gain access to some of the most sought after players immediately through a Loan Transfer.
Goal, the world's biggest football news source, has teamed up with EA to add the Goal Match Day Live Hub feature to FIFA 15 meaning you'll be kept up to date on what's happening in the real world of football without having to leave the game.
During EA's gamescom press conference yesterday, the company confirmed that the 18 Turkish Super Lig clubs will feature in the game along with all 20 Barclays' Premier League stadiums for the first time. Goalkeepers will also be getting an overhaul, as evidenced by the video below.
Finally, EA announced that the free PC game FIFA World will relaunch later this year with a whole new engine. Gameplay video sharing, as well as roster updates, new kits, boots, club badges, and the Turkish Super Lig are also being introduced to FIFA World in the coming months.
FIFA 15 is set for release on September 23rd on most platforms but FIFA 16 and 17 are already in development.
