Telltale Games has confirmed at the recent San Diego Comic-Con event that there will be a third season of The Walking Dead. They did not provide any plot details or a window for the game’s release. No platforms have been confirmed, but it'll presumably come out for the same platforms the previous episodes are on.
The plan was confirmed by Telltale Games president Kevin Bruner and The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman at an SDCC panel.

Beyond The Walking Dead: Season 3, Telltale Games is also developing an episodic adaptation of HBO’s Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands, which is based on Gearbox’s FPS/Action RPG franchise.
Telltale is also working on porting Fables: The Wolf Among Us and Seasons 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
