Yumi’s Odd Odyssey on 3DS eShop Gets Permament Price Drop

July 16, 2014 by Tony Ponce

The Japanese import sheds $10 for a much more manageable price tag of $19.99.

Yumi's Odd Odyssey isn't the kind of videogame that pops up in casual conversation, but should you have a 3DS handy, it wouldn't hurt to do some research into the strange title. This latest news from Tiny Cartidge should make your potential purchase decision a little easier — the 3DS eShop exclusive has received a permament price drop from $29.99 to $19.99.

Yumi's Odd Odyssey is the localized name of Sayonara Umihara Kawase, the third game in the Umihara Kawase franchise that started on the Super Famicom in 1994. The games are puzzle platformers in which you use your fishing line to hook onto ledges, swing across gaps, and lift up enemies. The 3DS sequel marks the first time the series has left Japan.

Watch the trailer above to see exactly what kind of gameplay experience you can expect. If it looks right up your alley and the new price satisfies your wallet, hit up the eShop as soon as you can.
