Destiny Companion App Now Available

July 16, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

The companion app for Destiny is now available for download on mobile and tablet devices.

Activision has released a Destiny companion app for iOS and Android devices ahead of the game’s beta release later this week.

The app, which runs on both mobile devices and tablets provides access to statistics, lore and social services, among many other features, all of which were shown off in a walkthrough video from IGN, seen below.

The app features full 3D rendered models of player characters, which can be rotated for players to check out exactly how their characters look. The app also allows you to manage your gear, change and customize your loadouts. All saved changes are replicated in-game.

The release of the companion app coincides with the launch of the Destiny beta, which is set to go live on July 17 on the PS4 and PS3, and on July 23 on the Xbox One and Xbox 360. It will remain open until July 27, at 11:59pm PDT.
