We have some new information regarding ongoing development for Mass Effect 4.
First off, Bioware’s Michael Gamble announced a survey, for fans to fill out and tell them what they want to see in the next game. Given that the studio is pressing reset on the franchise’s story, it’s probably a good idea to get feedback from the fans. Of course, this also comes fresh off the heels of the controversy surrounding Mass Effect 3, particularly its ending. In hindsight, this is the likely reason they’re pressing reset on the story overall. Suggestions are all over the place but this was a sentiment shared by the fans in this thread as well.
We do know we are getting a lot more information on the game very soon. This coming July 26 in San Diego Comic-Con, Bioware developers from Edmonton and Montreal will be on hand to talk about ‘developing the next Mass Effect.’ The panelists include lead animator Carly Boulay, producers Fabrice Condominas and Mike Gamble, senior artist Noel Lukasewich, and community manager Jessica Merizan.
The Comic-Con panel definitely promises to be a fun event, but we would only be speculating now if we talked about what we expect to see. I expect to see preproduction material at the very least, but everyone hopes to hear the platforms and release dates before that day is through.
